Soundgarden have announced they will play their first concert in Poland at next summer's Life Festival Oswiecim.

The festival began as an idea of a Polish journalist, Darek Maciborek intends to “break the spell” of his home town that is commonly associated solely with the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum.

The main concept of the festival is to build peaceful relations beyond cultural and state borders where there is no place for anti-Semitism, racism, and other forms of xenophobia. The message of a peace and tolerance comes from the town where during the Second World War (WWII) was the largest Nazi concentration and extermination camp - Auschwitz-Birkenau.

The fifth edition of LFO will start on 25th of June 2014 and finish four days later the festival includes two big concerts witha line-up of international stars held at MOSiR Stadium on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th of June.

Soundgarden will play on Friday 27th of June 2014 and ticket sales will start on Wendesday, 20th of November, and eFestivals will have links to buy them then.
