New Orleans sludge metallers Crowbar, and Finland's Children Of Bodom will make UK festival exclusive appearances at next summer's Bloodstock Open Air taking place from Thursday 7th until Sunday 10th August at Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, in South Derbyshire.

Crowbar's, Kirk Windstein, who recently stepped down from his longtime tenure with Bloodstock headliners Down, is looking forward to making a return visit, saying, "Crowbar can’t wait to bring our NOLA doom back to Bloodstock in 2014! It’s our 25th anniversary, so expect a few surprises in our set. New record, new bassist and a whole new Crowbar attitude!!! Get ready for the heavy!!!

Florida death metal pioneers, Obituary, and Nottingham's Evil Scarecrow are also set to make a return to Bloodstock’s main stage next year.

They join the first acts to be announced - Sunday headliner Megadeth, and UK exclusive headliners Emperor, and Down. Plus Saxon, Flotsam and Jetsam, and Decapitated. For the line-up details as available please click here.

As well as the international heavy metal bands across four stages, Bloodstock will offer a large selection of merchandise stalls, metal karaoke, a campsite and a wide selection of food and bars.
