Jools Holland and the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra with special guest Marc Almond and guest vocalists Ruby Turner, and Louise Marshall are the first act to be announced for Surrey's 21st Hampton Court Palace Festival which takes place from Thursday 12th until Sunday 22nd June 2014.

They will appear on the opening night, Thursday 13th June, at the festival which offers an audience of 3000 the chance to see performances in a majestic venue. Performances are held in the historic main courtyard of the Tudor Palace for an audience of 3,000 tend to begin either at 7pm or at 9pm. The events culminate in a Festival Finale with a programme of classical favourites and a firework display on the East Front Gardens.

Tickets are priced at  £45, or £50.

There are also days specifically set aside for a special picnic in the gardens or for a buffet in a furnished marquee in the East Front Gardens prior to some performances.
