After this year's small one day event a full Coastival returns as a three day event next year when Yorkshire goes to the Seaside over Valentine's weekend from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th February 2014.

There will be music, free films, activities for children, and various venues across Scarborough will host gallery concerts, classical music, theatre, arts installations and exhibitions, some of which will continue for the remainder of February.

The first acts have been announced with Brand New Heavies, and Nubiyan Twist opening the weekend. Saturday is Scarborough Jazz Day with Kate Peters, and The Heavy Horns plus Clare Teal, and The Community Big Band the first acts announced, and on Musicport Sunday The Demon Barbers will present The Lock In Dance Show .

As usual there's also free events including the Acoustic Lounge (acts TBA) and Mr Tooleys 45rpm Travelling Gospel Jukebox with friends in The Engine Room until the early hours.

Rollercoastival will bring lots of free activities for children; and young people can find loads of events down at The Street. Local artists will open their studios and galleries and there are lots of other unique and special events including Orpheus the Mariner and a world record attempt for the largest puppet.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 20th September, and eFestivals will havel inks to buy tickets then.

Ticket prices vary depending on event from free to £20. Or there's a weekend music ticket available priced at £50, or an all day Saturday jazz ticket priced at £20.
