This year's nautical themed Bestival happening on the Isle of Wight has announced it will be adding a touch of culture during their 10th Birthday celebrations from Thursday 5th until Sunday 8th September 2013 at Robin Hill Country Park, on their performance stage, The Amphitheatre

The arena will be hosting Wasted; the debut play written by Ted Hughes Award winning poet Kate Tempest. This day-glo trip through the parks and raves and cafes of South London, is a play about life, love and losing your mind. More theatre is available with The Man Who Thought The Moon Would Fall Out Of The Sky, and The Wolf

The Amphitheatre will also be home to spoken word acts including Scroobius Pip’s Satin Lizard Lounge sessions (featuring the likes of Kate Tempest, Tim Clare, Suli Breaks, Josh IdehenJohn Osborne, Harry Baker, Rob Auton, Cecilia Knapp, and A P Staunton) plus Tongue Fu, Chris Redmond's poetry mash-up where spoken word is presented alongside a live band. As well as up and coming talent from spoken word collectives, Elephant, Early Doors, the Roundhouse Poetry Collective and Talia Randall

Sketch comedy will come from Guilt & Shame: Addicted to Everything, Four Screws Loose return for their second Bestival show with Screwtopia!, and duo That Pair, present a brand new hour of sketch, character and musical comedy.

Plus raw edged life experience tales from The Worst of Scottee, a Coin Operated Girl, and festival stalwart Howard Marks, Wicked! Wicked! Presents The Gentlemans Junglist Club, Tayo3000, Save The Male, and a CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) showcase.

Starting each day at the Amphitheatre will be a special 'Chill' session of meditation or relaxation, presented by leading experts, the David Lynch Foundation, and a choir session with Funky Little Choir.

As night falls, the venue turns over to films in the forest, with previously announced Fake Blood, DJ Woody and East India Youth and cult classics, documentaries and short films all programmed by the Branchage and London Short Film Festivals. With a theme for each night – Musical Journeys, Rapper’s Delight, Fright Night and Outsiders.

Bestival is headlined by Fatboy Slim, Elton John and Snoop Dogg, plus MIA, Franz Ferdinand, Flaming Lips, The Knife, Wu-Tang Clan, Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Annie Mac Presents, and so many more. Plus a new arena The Port, Films in the Forest, World Music Day on the Bandstand, The Wishing Tree, Swamp Shack and The Grand Palace of Entertainment.

As well as the music, Bestival has the world's biggest fancy dress party for 50,000 festival goers. The festival also offers a vibrant mix of cocktail bars, laughter clubs, a farmers market, kids area, dancing, magical moments and more, as one of the most colourful events on the festival calendar.

Tickets for Bestival including entry from Thursday 4th September are priced at £190 for Adult Tickets and £127 for Teen (age 13-17) Tickets. For those arriving on or after Friday 5th September adult tickets are priced at £180. Tickets for children (age 12 & under) are free (but must have a ticket). A campervan ticket is priced at £90 (per vehicle), and car parking is priced at £11 advance (or £15 cash on arrival).

There's also a a 5 week payment plan which means that an adult ticket can now be bought at a payment of £38 per week (Thursday entry) or £36 per week (Friday entry) over 5 weekly payments.
