Godiva adds Devlin, Sway, Neville Staple, Ghostpoet, & more

more acts revealed for Coventry's FREE festival

Devlin, Sway, Charlie Brown, and Scrufizzer lead the first acts announced for the Rhythm Tent at the Midlands' biggest three-day FREE festival Godiva Festival, attracting over 100,000 people from Friday 5th until Sunday 7th July 2013 at War Memorial Park.

Also confirmed to appear on the Saturday are DeeLayDee, Influential Entertainment, SamSon, Matt Henshaw, The Neville Staple Band, Lee Thompson's Ska Orchestra, Reggaelators, Riddimstone, and The Dualers.

Added to the main stage line-up are Ghostpoet, Mallory Knox, Lexy and The Kill, and Waylayers, Craig Price.

On Sunday the  Rhythm Tent  becomes 'Made in Coventry',  a celebration of local acts, artists, dancers, orchestras and choirs with Coventry Youth Jazz Orchestra, Pauline Quirke Dance Academy, Three Spires Musical Society, Fletcher Ransberry, Barbershizzle, The Belles of Three Spires, Pandemonium Steel Orchestra, Freeman Dance, and The Notables.

Only the main stage acts for the festival's five stages had already announced. On Friday Maximo Park top a line-up featuring The View, Lucy Rose, Steve Cradock, Reverend And The Makers, The Dancers, SixtyFours, Russian Gun Dogs, and The Fallows. The night before, on Friday Echo and the Bunnymen top a bill including Pint Shot Riot and Dark Actors. Whilst on the final day Amelia Lily closes the festival with support from The Risk, The Loveable Rogues, Tich, Katie Sky, Sonrisa, Severn Trent Choir, Jill Freeman, plus Masterclass Dhol drummers, and DJs.

The line-up still has more acts to announce.

In addition to live musical the free and ticketless event was also hosts an annual carnival, a fairground and many more family and community based activities and entertainment.
