Damnation organiser Gavin McInally said, "ArcTanGent is already shaping up to be one of the best weekends of the summer and we're delighted to host a Day of Damnation at its inaugural event - handpicking eight acts who have previously graced our stages and left carnage in their wake.

"Although Damnation is predominantly a metal festival, we do venture into the world of post-rock, progressive and experimental music too so there is a natural crossover with ArcTanGent.

"And with Damnation camped in a cold Leeds each November and ArcTanGent enjoying a sunnier weekend in Bristol this August, the events will complement each other and we hope fans will make it along for both festivals.

"We are looking forward to digging out our tents - if ArcTanGent is run as smoothly as its sister festival, 2000trees, with the line-up it now has in place – it's going to be incredible!"
