On their Facebook page, (here), organisers announced,

*** BREAKING NEWS***and this is as BREAKING as it comes. RTTS 2013 will be THE LAST EVER RUN TO THE SUN. This has been a hard decision to make - RTTS has always been a large part of what we do as a business and has always been a large part of Newquay itself. So for One more Time we shall enjoy RTTS - one more rave - one more show - one more RTTS PARTY - WELCOME TO 'THE FINAL CHAPTER!'

Run to the Sun (RttS) held it's first event way back in 1987 and has grown into one of the largest Custom Car, VW and dance festivals in Europe since its conception and boasts a line-up that features DJs, and live music across four arenas including the silent disco.

Held in Newquay, Cornwall's surf and party capital, RttS is three days of DJ's, live music, comedy and acoustic sessions happening over the bank holiday weekend from Friday 24th to Monday 27th May.
There are no acts confirmed yet for the five arenas.

Held in Newquay, Cornwall's surf and party capital, RttS is three days of DJs, live music, comedy and acoustic sessions. The line-up will feature DJs, and live music across five arenas including the return of the silent disco, and more.

The car and music weekend event attracts thousands of people from around the UK to the Cornish resort with the town's 20,000-strong population trebled to about 60,000 over the bank holiday period. Recently there's been a much heavier policing approach to anti-social behaviour in the Westcountry town.

An early bird ticket is priced at £65 and a child ticket is priced at £32.50. Day tickets are priced at £28, and one of the 300 caravans can be hired at £110 per person. Ticket price includes entry to all RttS arenas and a week's camping.
