According to the Daily Star, (here), Kings of Leon could headline this year's V Festival 2013, which will take place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex and Weston Park, Staffordshire over the weekend of Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th August.
The article suggests that the 'Sex on Fire' American rockers, who are set to drop new material this summer, will top the line-up saying, "I can reveal bosses look set to secure the Sex On Fire fellas, who will release a new album before the event on August 17-18. The band, fronted by Caleb Followill, 31, have built their own studio at home in Nashville to give their new record an intimate feel."
Tickets are not currently available and the first line-up announcements for V Festival are expected to be announced on Monday 25th February.
The twin event sees acts swap venues on the second day and offers a bill of predominantly commercial acts, crowd favourites, and radio friendly indie upstarts in a party atmosphere. eFestivals believes the other headliner will be a female solo pop act with Rihanna, or Beyonce in the frame to top the bill.
