The first wave of acts have been announced for Beacons Festival which takes place from Friday 16th until Sunday 18th August 2013 at Funkirk Estate, Carleton, in North Yorkshire.

The first acts are Django Django, Theo Parrish, Moon Duo, Floating Points, David Rodigan, Ben UFO, Egyptian Hip Hop, Oneman, Eats Everything, Bicep, Dutch Uncles, Machine Drum, Bondax, Esben and the Witch, Andres, Chad Valley, and Channel One Soundsystem.

Also confirmed are Move D (DJ set), Jon K, Hookworms, Childhood, Temples, Drenge, Wolf Alice, Jaws, and Thumpers.

This year's event will also offer a cinema programme, children's entertainment, spoken word, theatre and more, and is easily accessible by rail.

Organisers have confirmed partnerships with Flux, Now Wave and Northern StrEats. Returning favourites include The Whitelocks Craft Ale Tent, and VICE / Noisey are going to curate a mixed stage of must-see new music.

Early bird tickets have sold out. Second release tickets are now priced at £74.50 for the weekend. There is also a deposit scheme for £40 where the remaining balance must have been paid by Thursday 7th March 2013.
