North Yorkshire's Deer Shed Festival held over the weekend of Friday 19th to Sunday 21st July 2013 has announced that their theme for 2012 will be 'Machines'.

Deer Shed Festival have announced that the fourth installment of the immersive, interactive and imaginative family festival will be Machines and will pull out all the stops to create a mechanical emporium celebrating the workings behind some of the worlds maddest and innovative creations.

Deer Shed Festival is still to announce their new site plan for 2013 and are known for their full throttle approach to the theme, not to be confined to a fancy dress outfit on the Saturday, the theme takes over the whole festival, including workshops, site décor, stages and activities.

Organisers explain, "2013 will see Deer Shed Festival host a show stopping line up of gadgets, gizmos and games galore to celebrate the gargantuan impact of machines big and small, from every day appliances to mind blowing inventions! The wizard-like minds behind Deer Shed Festival have let their inner mad professors go into overdrive with a multitude of grand plans for Deer Shed Festival 4, including onsite 3D printing, the Deer Shed Festival 'Scrapheap challenge', Robot themed discos, videogames coding, live demonstrations of animatronics and much, much more for all ages and abilities!"

The independent festival run by a family for families has a capacity of 6,000 and an intimate and welcoming atmosphere, and offers a main stage with second acoustic stage in the Deer Shed itself, plus plenty of clean toilets and baby changing facilities. Expect a main bar as well as a cocktail bar, a large food tent with seating and high chairs.

With an ethos celebrating top quality in everything from music to food, eclectic entertainment to outstanding array of workshops and activities, Deer Shed Festival ensure that all the family are catered for. As well as the music the event offers vintage art and craft stalls, kids tent and outside play area, and will have a welfare and first aid tent.

The first acts for 2013 are still to be announced.

Early bird tickets are priced as follows:

An adult (16+) weekend ticket (Fri-Sun) is priced at £79.
Child (aged 6 - 15 years) weekend ticket is priced at £25
Child (aged under 5) weekend ticket is priced at £1
Weekend campervan & caravan pass is priced at £20
All the kids activities and workshops free of charge.
