The Undertones are the first act to be confirmed for this year's Strummercamp in Manchester.

The Undertones
The 'Teenage Kicks' punk rock/New Wave band formed in Derry, Northern Ireland, in 1975 have seen Paul McLoone takeover on vocal duties from Feargal Sharkey and will be bringing the summer of 1979 to life at Strummercamp, organised by friends of the late Joe Strummer, which is intended to be a celebration and tribute run on a not-for-profit basis. This year's festival takes returns to Manchester Rugby Club, Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire from Friday 24th until Sunday 26th May 2013.

There are no other acts confirmed. Festival goers can expect over 60 acts on the bill plus comedy, all day bar/food, toilets and disabled toilet facilities, and more.

An early bird adult weekend ticket including camping is priced at £55, a child aged under 16's weekend ticket is priced at £15, and children aged under 10 tickets (accompanied by an adult) are free. A family ticket for 2 Adults + 2 Children is priced at £120. Campervans and caravans are both allowed - no additional charge for either. To buy tickets, click here.

Strummercamp is a not for profit venture presented organised and staffed entirely by volunteers. It is not connected, affiliated or a subsidiary of any other organisation.
