After the success of this summer's Lytham Proms, organisers Cuffe and Taylor are returning to the 80's decade with a new show entitled 'The 80's Strike Back' in August next year.

Spandau Ballet
The 10,000 capacity Lytham St Annes Proms takes at Lytham Green, Lytham St Annes, in Lancashire from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th August 2013.

The line-up of 80's performers taking to the stage on the opening night of the 'Proms' weekend are Tony Hadley, Jimmy Somerville, Marc Almond, Heaven 17, Odyssey, Altered Images, and Sonia. The three-and-a-half hour show will also feature the 'Rewind All Star Band' who more usually make an annual Scottish and Southern Rewind Festival appearance.

Whilst on Saturday Russell Watson will perform in the 'Last Night of the Proms' including 'Jerusalem', 'Land of Hope and Glory' and 'Rule Britannia', all culminating in a firework finale.

The acts for the final night has not yet been announced.

Speaking about today's announcement, Peter Taylor, Director of Cuffe and Taylor said, "The 80's night was one of our most popular shows for 2012, so we decided to bring it back, and this time make it bigger and better. We're working with Rewind this year, and they are responsible for the two largest 80's Festivals in Scotland and Henley… so it make the perfect choice to bring the show to Lytham. This time we've chosen a real 80's line-up that will certainly appeal to the die-hard fans.

"The 2012 80's night was just fantastic, and despite us struggling to serve everyone at our bars, we promise we learnt our lesson and 2013! We've more lights, more bars and we really will throw the best party ever!"

Tickets go on sale tomorrow priced at £26.50 for Friday early bird, and £35 for Saturday.
