The veteran Danish metallers ended a six-year touring hiatus this summer appearing at European festivals Hellfest and Sweden Rock. Their Friday night headline slot at Bloodstock Open Air next summer will be their first ever UK festival appearance and their only UK date in 2013.

The band said of their headline slot, "I'm looking so much forward to this, we all are. Finally back in England! The people at Bloodstock have gone the extra mile to make this possible, and will be expanding the stage to fit our full production. This is gonna be dark and very heavy!"

They join the previously announced Accept, Fozzy, Firewind, and Anthrax. The festival will have exclusive performances, established, international, and breaking acts.

As well as the international heavy metal bands across three stages, Bloodstock offers a large selection of merchandise stalls, metal karaoke, a campsite and a wide selection of food and bars.
