Also announced for the line-up for HF 5 are Germany power metallers Iron Saviour, and Evil Scarecrow who return to host their their own alternative midnight black mass on the second stage.

RSJ get a proper slot this time after stepping in last minute last year, with Def-Con-One, Texas Hippie Coalition, Finland's Shear, progressive metal virtuoso Paul Antonio Ortiz aka Chimp Spanner, Abadden, Norway's Commander in Chief, Driven, and Black Acid Souls.

Lastly no Hammerfest would be complete without a few old school NWOBHM acts on the bill and this year is no exception with Vicous Nature (featuring ex Clovenhoof and Marshall Law members) and Bristol's original NWOBHM act Jaguar who will both take to the stage on Thursday night.

They join a line-up that already includes Candlemass, Enslaved, Napalm Death, Empress, Senser, 4arm, Stuka Squadron, Winterfylleth, Triaxis, and Mpire Of Evil. Expect more than 50 metal bands and a 12th century Japanese Samurai culture as the back drop this year.
