Organisers of Wakestock which is happening this weekend from Friday 6th until Sunday 8th July 2012, at Abersoch, North Wales have announced they have added a Park and Ride scheme for those coming to the festival.

A statement from organisers says:
"The build up of the festival is progressing well and on schedule at Wakestock. Like the rest of the country the site has received a significant amount of rainfall over the past few months and weeks. Due to this the car parking fields are fairly soft and this may cause some difficulty when driving on or off the site.

Wakestock has therefore arranged a park and ride location at Pwllheli Marina in the Yacht Club car park where festival goers can park up and meet the shuttle bus service which drops off right at the festival entrance. The shuttle buses run on a continuous loop between Pwllheli Maes, the Yacht Club and the Wakestock Festival site at Pen Rhos.

This facility is also available for people dropping off and picking up festival goers. The car parks at the festival site will be open but it is recommended that car users use the park and ride as an alternative to avoid potential delays
."
Wakestock offers festival goers free-to-watch wakeboarding by day and music by night. The site overlooks Cardigan Bay and across to Snowdonia and has facilities to entertain over 10,000 people each night. It's right next to the beach, and as well as featuring a competition for the wakeboard title, there are live bands and DJ's to entertain, making for three days of sporting and live music action.

A weekend camping ticket is priced at £125, a weekend ticket without camping will be priced at £100 and a quiet camping option is also available priced at £130, alongside advance car parking at £10. Thursday night pre party tickets are priced at £10, a campervan pass £50, and a charge and store (locker) ticket £14.
