The Fratellis will be making their first festival appearance since they reformed, and man of the moment Jake Bugg lead the first acts to be announced for Scotland's Loopallu which takes place on Friday 21st and Sunday 22nd September 2012 at Ullapool, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland.

Joining them both at this small intimate festival which is geared towards entertaining the local community will be festival favourites The Dangleberries, Lilygreen & Maguire the acoustic duo made up of Jon Lilygreen and Jon Maguire, and Shinty legend Gary Innes makes his Loopallu debut with Celtic/Gaelic cross-over act Manran.

Festival organiser Robert Hicks sai, "We're over the moon The Fratellis have chosen to make their festival comeback at Loopallu since reforming recently. With a back catalogue of hits like theirs, I challenge anyone not to jump around. I can’t wait. We’re also really pleased to have man of the moment Jake Bugg coming north. His little Highland Tour at the start of the year obviously had an effect on him. Catch him before he goes stella. Coupled with a long overdue return of festival favourites The Dangleberries attention has now got to turn to booking some fine weather!"

The headliners are still to be announced for the festival which returns for its eighth outing this September and has a 2500 capacity. Situated in the pretty little fishing village of Ullapool on the shores Loch Broom Loopallu has activities for all ages in addition to the music. The festival also offers local food and drink along with fringe events throughout the village.

Tickets are priced at £60 without camping, or £75 with weekend camping, and caravan tickets are priced at £25. Under-12s are free, though everyone under 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult.
