Britpop stalwarts Dodgy are to play an acoustic set at the Eden Sessions as part of the day of folk, headlined by Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls on Sunday, 1st July.

Dodgy
Dodgy will be playing on the Biotik stage in the Mediterranean Biome. Biotik is the result of a collaboration between the Eden Project and Cape Farewell, a project that brings artists, scientists and communicators together to engage people in the subject of climate change.

Dodgy will be airring their hits including mid-nineties classics 'Staying Out for the Summer' and 'Good Enough'. Dodgy have sold more than a million records worldwide, had a platinum selling album 1996's 'Free Peace Sweet'.

Their new album 'Stand Upright in a Cool Place' comes a decade after their last studio album. In that time they have successfully managed to reinvent themselves with a new sound focusing on mellow rhythms and precise harmonies.

Martin Williams, Marketing Director at the Eden Project, said, "Dodgy are an excellent addition to the line-up. They are a brilliant live band and have a great back catalogue of summery tunes as well as fresh new tunes that fit the day of folk perfectly."

Stornoway, Bellowhead, the Mull Historical Society, the Staves and Seth Lakeman will also be playing throughout the day, giving the Session a one-day festival feel. The full line-up of bands playing Eden's other stages will be released soon.

The folk session is one of many nights that include comic Tim Minchin (Saturday June 23), dance supremo Example and grime artist Devlin (Saturday June 30), UK soul and hip-hop star Plan B (Friday July 6) US pop-punks Blink-182 (Sunday July 8 - SOLD OUT), and Noah and the Whale, and The Vaccines (Wednesday 11th July) on the bill for the Eden Sessions in 2012. More acts will be announced soon.

Eden Sessions have become more like a one-day festival, with three stages and acts playing from early afternoon on each day.

Tickets are priced at £35. Every Sessions ticket includes entry to Eden on the day of the show or the day after.

The Eden Sessions are now in their eleventh year. The Sessions are famed not only for bringing top acts to Cornwall but also for their festival feel, with extra bands and entertainers playing around the site in the run-up to the main event.
