James Morrison headlines Friday night with Alison Moyet, The Waterboys, Pixie Lott, Eli "Paperboy" Reed and the True Loves, Gretchen Peters, Beth Hart, and Juan Zelada who will open the festival.

Saturday's bill is topped by Elvis Costello and The Imposters, and with the Songbird stage hosting Hugh Laurie & his Copper Bottom Band. Also confirmed is US R&B singer Macy Gray, Police Dog Hogan, Danny and the Champions Of The World, Newton Faulkner, Rainy Boy Sleep , Tom Baxter, and Aloe Blacc.

Jools Holland and the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra headlines Sunday with guests Marc Almond, and Ruby Turner. Also appearing that days are Will Young, Seasick Steve, Nine Below Zero, Los Lonely Boys, and Staxs. Closing the Songbird stage will Nerina Pallot, with Katzenjammer also confirmed.

Organiser Hugh Phillimore announced, "Getting the artist bill together is always a nail-biting task but I think we've raised the bar yet again with some great exclusives and a fantastic range of artists, so there really is something for everyone – and maybe I'll even get to see some of it.

"2012 could be our best year yet. We've weathered some difficult times in previous years, successfully relocated the festival to an even better site, stayed true to our original aims in remaining a truly independent family festival, and I've had nothing but positive feedback from the local community who've supported us brilliantly over the years – so all bodes well for a successful 9th Cornbury!

In addition to the music, expect the festival to offer a variety of attractions including a fairground, many morris dance pageants, children's zone with a full programme of entertainment, children's theatre workshops, theatre workshops, arts and crafts, speciality shops, novelty acts and upmarket catering offering everything from champagne and cappuccinos to real ale.

The Absolute Comedy Stage will also return with a fun-filled Friday programme presented by local regulars Charlbury Riverside, who is set to field a two-day 3rd stage line-up joined by Balham's infamous Kashmir Club.

An adult weekend is priced at £175 with camping or £150 without camping. A young person's weekend ticket (aged 13-16 years) is priced at £100 with camping or £75 without camping. Camping tickets for children (aged 3-12 years) are priced at £10 or £15 with camping. Children 2yrs and under go free and do not require a ticket. Adult day tickets are priced at £65 for Friday/Sunday, and £70 for Saturday. A young Person's day ticket is priced at £30 for Friday/Sunday, and £35 for Saturday. Day tickets for children (aged 3-12 years) and the over 70s are priced at £10.
