14 new acts for 2000trees

Gallows, We Were Promised Jetpacks, Dog Is Dead, and more

Gallows, and We Were Promised Jetpacks are among the 14 new acts confirmed for 2000trees happening from Thursday 12th until Saturday 14th July 2012 at Upcote Farm, Withington, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

Last year Frank Carter left the band, and former Alexisonfire guitarist/vocalist Wade MacNeil is the new Gallows singer. They will co-headline The Cave stage with the previously announced Pulled Apart by Horses on the Friday night of the festival.

Also announced today are Dog Is Dead, Sharks, Spy Catcher, The Computers, Max Raptor, Gallops, Zico Chain, Bastions, Hymns, Rosa Valle, Harbour, and Andy Oliveri.

Organiser Andy Rea said, "We're delighted that Early Entry tickets have sold out in record time, especially as we've still got so many bands to announce. It's looking like another record-breaking year for what has become a firm favourite festival among fans of new and underground British music.

The acts already announced include 65daysofstatic, Pulled Apart By Horses, The Xcerts, Rolo Tomassi, The Xcerts, Johnny Foreigner, My First Tooth, Brontide, Turbowolf, Freeze The Atlantic, The Marmozets, Run,Walk!, Shapes, The Bronze Medal, Goodnight Lenin, The Cadbury Sisters, Sam Russo, Jason Steel, Sam Brookes, Imperial Leisure, Tellison, Tall Ships, Straight Lines, and The Cape of Good Hope. More than 80 live acts will entertain thousands of music fans for two days of music on four stages, plus comedy, DJs, headphone discos, quality and value food & drink, and a trader village.

Yesterday the festival sold out of all Early Entry tickets for Thursday night.

A weekend ticket is priced at £66. Children aged 0 to 10 years old can go free but require a ticket and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. A joint ticket with sister festival 'Y-Not' in Derbyshire is priced at £117. Last year's event sold out in advance.
