Camp Bestival's Sunday headliners are Happy Mondays

24 hour party people Happy Mondays have been unveiled as the Sunday headliners at this summer's Camp Bestival 2012.

Madchester's finest will be closing the weekend with their classics like 'Step On', 'Kinky Afro', 'Hallelujah', '24 Hour Party People', and frontman Sean Ryder said, "Me and the band are mega excited to be playing at Camp Bestival. We have heard the crowd are amazing, and we will definitely put on a great show."

Live music will also come from Dodgy, Little Roy, Redlight, Josh Kumra, Ryan Keen , and Jenny O.

DJs added to the bill include Mr Scruff, 2 Bears, DJ Derek, Maya Jane Coles, Gemini, Luv*Jam, and Dave Hornby.

Madcap TV duo Dick & Dom will also be making a return visit to Lulworth Castle. They will also be part of Camp Bestival's regular 'How To' hot topic series, in 'How to Dick and Dom About'. Founder of the Kids Company charity Camila Batmanghelidgh will also be interviewed on 'How to Change Lives'.

Scroobius Pip returns to curate the Satin Lizard Lounge spoken word line-up featuring Chris Redmond (Tongue Fu) and Joshua Idehen (Poejazzi)! Pip, Chris and Josh will be presenting the likes of John Berkavitch, Jodi Ann Bickley, John Osborne, Alex Gynther, and John Sinclair who will be sharing selections from their latest word craft.

There will also be authors reading from their latest books including the Fabulous Baker Brothers, musician turned author Joe Stretch; Radio 1 agony uncle Matt Whyman; Richard Milward, laureate of teen sex, drugs and rock'n'roll; Ben Crystal, actor and Shakespeare demystifier; Little Nye creator Lerryn Korda; fantasy favourite David Gatward, and book reviewer Stuart Evers.

They join Hot Chip will headline Friday, Saturday is topped by Kool & the Gang, Chic featuring Nile Rodgers (confirmed yesterday), and Earth, Wind & Fire Experience feat Al McKay. Other acts include Jimmy Cliff, Rizzle Kicks, Adam Ant And The Good The Mad And The Lovely Posse, Rolf Harris, Jimmy Carr, King Creosote & Jon Hopkins, LTJ Bukem, Little Dragon, Bellowhead, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, The Cuban Brothers, and more.

Festival organiser Rob da Bank said, "I'm amazed this band are coming to Camp Bestival. I grew up dancing like a rubbish Bez to the Mondays and fully intend to indulge in some creaky freaky dancing some the Sunday night of Camp B..Hope you'll join me."

The family friendly event return from Thursday 26th to Sunday 29th July, the first week of the school summer holidays, at the picturesque setting of Lulworth Castle, set against the backdrop of England's dramatic Jurassic coastline in Dorset.

The 'Silly Olympic' themed shin-dig will include a wealth of crazy-Olympic fun and games, full of spectacle, good food, the offer of luxury camping and tons of fun for all the family with over 100 free things for kids to do and lots and lots of brand new attractions.

An adult weekend ticket with camping is priced at £175 or £185 if camping from Thursday, a weekend with camping child ticket for those 15 to 17 (on 26/07/2012) is priced at £110, or £115 if camping on Thursday. A weekend with camping child ticket for those children 11 to 14 (on 26/07/2012) is priced at £95.

All teens (aged 11 to 17) MUST camp in the same area as their families with a maximum of 2 teens per adult (over the age of 30). All children under-11 (on 26/07/2012) can attend for free (but MUST HAVE a ticket). These ticket holders must be accompanied by a Ticket holding parent or guardian over the age of 21.

An advance car parking pass is priced £10 per car (or £15 cash on arrival), and campervan ticket is £80 per vehicle.
