Cambridge Folk Festival adds Clannad, Joan Armatrading, & The Proclaimers

plus Loreena McKennitt, Billy Bragg, and Nic Jones

Clannad, Joan Armatrading, and The Proclaimers are the latest acts confirmed for this year's Cambridge Folk Festival.

The latest announcement includes a a rare festival appearance by the original line-up of Clannad who appear on Saturday, as do The Proclaimers, and singer-songwriter Joan Armatrading appears on Sunday.

They are joined by Canadian singer and composer Loreena McKennitt, on the opening night Billy Bragg celebrates Woody Guthrie's 100th Birthday, and on Sunday the first full public performance in 30 years by English folk legend Nic Jones. They join June Tabor & Oysterband who will appear on Friday, and Lucy Ward was also confirmed last week.

The festival takes place from Thursday 26th until Sunday 29th July. Early bird tickets are priced at £120 for a full adult festival pass (not including camping), day tickets are priced as follows - Thursday £19, Friday £41; Saturday £52; and Sunday £52. Children aged 5-13 years tickets is priced at £35, and children aged 4 and under can attend for free. Camping is available for full festival ticket holders only, priced at £36-£52 per 2-3 berth tent.
