first acts announced for Scotland's Doune The Rabbit Hole

which this year moves to a replica medieval village

The first acts have been announced for Scotland's Doune The Rabbit Hole which has moved to a new site at Duncarron Fort, a replica medieval village in the Duncarron Valley, and is held from Friday 24th until Sunday 26th August 2012.

The festival aims to be a fun, frolicsome weekend for kids and adults alike - there will be a great mixture of music, stand up comedy, DJs, children's theatre, art workshops, lectures, poetry, craft stalls, local ale, cider, organic food and much more in a relaxed, festive atmosphere.

The Phantom Band
The line-up is topped by The Phantom Band, Aidan Moffat & Bill Wells, Three Blind Wolves, Sparrow and the Workshop, and Laura J Martin.

Also confirmed are Dave Barbarossa, Sophie Ramsay, Holy Mountain, The Cosmic Dead, The Rudiments, Bof!, The John Knox Sex Club, Driver Drive Faster, Olympic Swimmers, Jouis, Adam Stearns and the Glass Animals, Helicon, Kochka, The Second Hand Marching Band, Captain Slackship's Mezzanine Allstars, The Plimptons, Ceylan Hay, Forgotten Works, Loch Awe, Pumajaw, Rail Fan, Olympic Swimmers, Galoshin, Dead Saints Bones, and many more.

This year the festival welcomes the Tenement TV Stage (curated by Tenement TV, Glasgow's live performance video podcast http://www.tenementtv.com/) featuring Anderson McGinty Webster Ward and Fisher, The Imagineers , Davey Horne & The Golden Pipes, The River 68's, Stagger Rats, Esperanza, Selective Service, The MeatMen, and more.

An early bird weekend ticket with camping (from Friday - Sunday) is priced at £58 (£48 without camping). An early bird child (under 16) with camping weekend ticket is priced at £48, or £38 without camping. To buy tickets, click here.
