British folk rockers Mumford & Sons have been confirmed for the Netherlands' Pinkpop Festival.

The band, who formed in December 2007, will appear before Monday headliner Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band on the Monday of the festival.

The Cure have also been announced as headliners with Soundgarden also confirmed. There are no other acts confirmed yet for 2012. For the line-up details as available please click here.

Pinkpop Festival is an annual rock festival held in the city of Landgraaf, 134 miles from Amsterdam, near the city of Heerlen and situated in the most South bound province of Limburg, Netherlands. It is held annually on the Whitsun weekend (Pinksteren in Dutch, hence the name), the 43nd edition will be held from Saturday 26th until Monday 28th May 2012.

The festival has a capacity of 60,000 and three days of music on three stages. Ticket prices have not yet been confirmed, expects around 150 euros, and tickets will go on sale on Saturday 3rd March 2012.
