Public Image Ltd. to headline Blackpool's Rebellion

plus Ruts DC, Big D, The Monochrome Set, Neck, and more

Public Image Ltd. (PiL) have been announced as Saturday night headliners for this summer's Rebellion punk festival which returns to Blackpool Winter Gardens from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th August 2012.

John Lydon (PiL)
After fronting the Sex Pistols John Lydon formed the post-punk originators Public Image Ltd in 1978. PiL continued until 1992 with an ever-changing line-up and unique sound which saw them fuse Rock, Pop, Dance, Folk, Ballet and Dub.

Lydon will be joined by former PiL members Lu Edmonds (guitar), Bruce Smith (drums) along with 2009 recruit Scott Firth (bass).

Also newly added to the line-up are Ruts DC, Big D and the Kids Table, The Monochrome Set, The Hillbilly Moon Explosion, Chas Ikstan And The Bon Bon Bons, Neck, Vince Ray and The Boneshakers, Vic Ruggiero, Subculture, Roughneck Riot, and Chas Palmer-Williams.

The line-up also includes The Enemy not the Coventry rockers, as eFestivals previously reported but an old punk band of the same name, Sunday headliners Rancid, plus The Only Ones, Bow Wow Wow, Slaughter And The Dogs, The Boys, Snuff, The Slackers, Penetration, The Subhumans, D.O.A., The Outcasts, Agnostic Front, Zero Boys, SNFU, The Fits, Hardskin, Last Resort, The Cortinas, UK Subs, Argy Bargy, Peter & The Test Tube Babies, Deadline, The Filaments, The Creepshow, Chelsea, One Way System, Citizen Fish, Here & Now, Random Hand, and many more.
