The band made their UK debut back in 2007 opening the main stage at Bloodstock after being voted by the public as the winners of Bloodstock's Online Unsigned Competition.

Since then the band have gone on to achieve much in the 4 years, including being handpicked by Megadeth and Amon Amarth as support in their homeland of Costa Rica and have become the biggest metal band in Costa Rica and Central America spanning 7 countries.

Band member Eduardo Chacón said, "Bloodstock 2012, are you ready? Sight of Emptiness is coming homee! Many amazing things have happened to our band since we won the 2007 'Unsigned Competition' and played the Main Stage. We have released one more album and have another one in the works for 2012, won two ACAM Grammys (in Costa Rica), played shows in front of 15,000 people, shared a stage with Megadeth and much more. But having another opportunity to play Bloodstock has been huge on our want-to-do list. Looking forward to see all our UK friends and together destroy the Sophie Lancaster Stage."

They join a line-up that includes the previously confirmed Alice Cooper, Behemoth, Sanctuary, The Black Dahlia Murder, Grand Magus, Dimmu Borgir, Hatebreed, Corrosion Of Conformity, Anaal Nathrakh, Watain, Paradise Lost, Anvil, Orange Goblin, and Doomed. Tickets are priced at £115 for adults, and car parking is priced at £14, campervan passes are priced at £40, child (aged 4 - 11 years) tickets are priced at £25, with day tickets expected to be on sale at a later date.

Organisers have also announced a deposit scheme which offers the chance to pay for weekend camping tickets in 3 easy instalments, with an initial payment of £36.25 if purchased before 1st March 2012. The second instalment is due on 31st March, and the third on 30th April.
