The Stone Roses and Bjork to headline Oya festival 2012

The Stone Roses, and Bjork have been announced as headliners of next year's Oya festival.

Celebrating its 10th year, Oya Festival takes place in the Medieval Park, which is located in Gamlebyen, the oldest part of Oslo, in Norway, and happens from Tuesday 7th until Saturday 11th August 2012.

They join the first acts confirmed for the 60,000 capacity event who are Azealia Banks, Ane Brun, Jonas Alaska, Yelawolf, The Devil's Blood, Sudan Dudan and The Good, The Bad And The Zugly. In total there are 200+ bands on 4 outdoor stages and in 30 clubs.

Amidst the festival area of trees, green grass and water, the festival is well equipped with stages, shopping streets and small shops serving food and drink. Festival goers can swim from one stage to another or take a short walk to the city centre of Oslo.

Øya is the most environmentally friendly festival in the country, boasting 100% ecological food and green ethics.
