exclusive: Levellers, Bellowhead, Jools Holland for Wickham Festival

eFestivals can exclusively reveal that Levellers, Bellowhead, and Jools Holland and the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra (with Ruby Turner plus special guests to be confirmed) lead the first acts to be confirmed for the Wickham Festival.

They will be joined by Oysterband, Show of Hands, Edward II, Home Service, Belshazzars Feast, Jackie Oates, Session A9, Michael McGoldrick, John McCusker & John Doyle, Rua MacMillan, Manran, Merry Hell, Babelfish, and Jack McNeill and Charlie Heys, with more to be announced.

The festival returns to the Hampshire village of Wickham, in Hampshire just east of Eastleigh and just north of Fareham.

This four-day event happens from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th August 2012 and features live music and entertainment for all ages with camping. There will be three music stages in 2012 plus an open stage and other attractions including street theatre, a solar-powered cinema tent, circus tent, digital funfair, storytelling tent, crafts fayre and Real Ale Festival.

The first batch of 500 'earlybird' season tickets have now sold out but a further batch of 500 weekend season tickets at the £100 'early bird' price, which offer a saving of £35 on the full adult price of £135 for the 4-day Festival will go on sale Tuesday 27th December.

Festival Organiser Peter Chegwyn said, "We recognise money is tight for many festival-goers at present and so we are offering 'early bird' season tickets at a very attractive price to those who have supported our festival in the past and those who are willing to book early for next year."

A 4-Day early bird adult season ticket is priced at £100, with under-16s being half-price and under-10s free. Camping tickets are priced at £20 per tent or caravan for the whole weekend. Day tickets will be available at a later date.
