Tickets go on sale today for Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway's Vintage Festival which will take place from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th July 2012 at a new location, to the grand stately home of the Boughton Estate in Northamptonshire.

Vintage is the brainchild of designers Gerardine and Wayne Hemingway. The family friendly festival is a celebration of creative British cool from the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s & 80s with music, fashion, art, design, style, film, food celebrated across the decades.

The iconic British designers in a join venture with MAMA Group are moving the festival to the new site to allow more people in the UK to experience the event. The Hemingway’s also want to involve more local businesses and community groups across the country in the festival and is encouraging people to bring their vintage contributions to the event.

The new site is within two hours travel time of 80% of the population. Known as 'The English Versailles' because of the magnificent gardens and Grade I listed park, the site boasts 2345 acres of sculptured landscapes, waterscapes and woodlands. Boughton House, which will also be used as part of the festival site, houses a collection of fine art made originally for the French royal family.

Wayne Hemingway said, "By moving to Northamptonshire we’ve made it completely accessible for the rest of the country to get involved with Vintage. We know that there are huge amounts of people around the UK with a fondness for British culture and the vintage scene and we want to make it easier for them to come and enjoy the Vintage experience. We hope to see people from across the country at Vintage and want local businesses and community groups to get involved and bring their vintage contributions to the festival – this could be hairdressers, tea-rooms, local dance groups, collectors or cooks. The more, the merrier!

"Vintage is a different type of festival, it is like a big dressing-up box, a creative feast for all ages where you can dance the dances of the decades, watch world renowned bands, buy fantastic vintage clothes and accessories, take part in creative workshops, eat wonderful food, watch iconic movies, enjoy catwalk shows, see the cars, the designs the art that helped make Britain the world’s creative hotspot. It's about having a glamorous, fun, celebratory and uncompromisingly comfortable time in stunning surroundings. We believe that we have found those stunning surroundings in our new home and look forward to having more people from across the country to celebrate Britain in 2012. ."
