Headliners Metallica, plus Slayer, and Machine Head are amongst the first acts to be announced for Nova Rock 2012.

Metallica will headline celebrating the 20th anniversary of the 'Black Album' by playing it live in it's entirety, plus a selection of other hits.

The rest of the first acts to be announced are Slayer, Machine Head, Within Temptation, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Dimmu Borgir, Killswitch Engage, Opeth, Trivium, Hatebreed, Lagwagon, August Burns Red, DevilDriver, The Answer, The Baseballs, Schandmaul, and Oomph!.

Rock Nova takes place from Friday 8th until Sunday 10th June 2012 at Pannonia Fields II, Nickelsdorf, in Austria.
