Organisers have announced that the The Garden Festivals events held in Croatia are currently facing licensing issues. Organisers are currently facing problems securing the operations license for the site in Petrcane, due to issues with Hotel Pinija, though negotiations are continuing and they hope that their festivals The Garden Festival, SunceBeat, Electric Elephant, Soundwave, and Stop Making Sense will take place as usual in their location at The Garden, Petrcane, Croatia in 2012.

For those people who have have made arrangements, booked flights and accommodation or purchased tickets for events at The Garden in Petrcane have just issued a statement, which you can read in full below.
"After 6 great years in Petrcane, we have unexpectedly come up against problems with Hotel Pinija, whose permission we need to secure our annual operating licence for the festivals. Negotiations with the hotel are still ongoing & we truly hope we can solve all issues with them. Over the past few days we have been looking at numerous stunning locations local to Zadar/Split and have earmarked a few that fit the Garden bill, should a move be necessary.

If we do find we have to move to a new location what will certainly never change is the ethos of our Garden, the week long program, the beauty of the coastline, the sunshine & good times, and of course most importantly – the people.

Please bear with us until next week when the picture will be a lot clearer and we will issue a further statement and if you have any questions don't hesitate to contact us at Garden HQ on info@thegardenzadar.com

Big Love & see you in the sunshine.

The organisers are asking festival goers to bear with them over the next week as they try to resolve these issues as quickly as possible, and have left for Croatia to resolve the issues before Monday 28th November when they say they will be in a better position let people know exactly what is happening. While these discussions are taking place their office will not be manned.

At present events are still planned to go ahead as follows:

The Garden Festival 2012 from Wednesday 4 July until Wednesday 11 July 2012.

Electric Elephant 2012 from Thursday 12 July until Monday 16 July 2012.

Soundwave (Croatia) 2012 from Friday 20 July until Monday 23 July 2012.

Stop Making Sense 2012 from Thursday 2 August until Monday 6 August 2012.
