Plan B has been announced as the first headliner for next year's Eden Sessions.

The singer-songwriter, rapper, actor and film director will headline on Friday 6th July, 2012, no other acts have been confirmed for the event which usually happens over five dates each summer.

Eden Sessions have become more like a one-day festival, with three stages and acts playing from early afternoon on each day.

Martin Williams, Eden's Marketing Director, said, "We are proud to launch the 2012 Eden sessions with the multi-platinum selling artist Plan B. With The Defamation of Strickland Banks selling more than a million copies and the tour wowing audiences from Sydney to Los Angeles and back again with notable stops at Glastonbury, V Festival, the O2 Arena and Hyde Park, the opportunity to catch him is incredible. We are very excited with the line-up for 2012. Announcements will be made over the next few months. Watch this space."

Tickets will be priced at £35, and will go on sale at at 6pm on Monday 12th December when eFestivals will have links for you to buy them. Every Sessions ticket includes entry to Eden on the day of the show or the day after.

The Eden Sessions are now in their eleventh year. The Sessions are famed not only for bringing top acts to Cornwall but also for their festival feel, with extra bands and entertainers playing around the site in the run-up to the main event.
