The Deer Shed Festival will return for a third outing in 2012. The first 150 adult weekend tickets available at 2011 prices.

In 2012 they will be using all of the 90 acre site, increasing their capacity only very slightly to 6000.

The festival site will open around lunchtime on Friday 20th July. In addition to the circus cabaret performance in the Big Top, Friday evening will also have headline music acts on our main stage. The Friday ticket is optional though most folks make a full weekend of it.

Saturday is their main music and arts day, three music stages, with loads going on.

Sunday is a Long Goodbye. Coffee, newspapers, organised kids sports, live ambient electronica cafe in the Big Top, a crafts market, a birds of prey display, nature trails and lots more to be confirmed. The festival site will close late on Sunday afternoon.

The family friendly Deer Shed Festival, debuted in July 2010, and takes place just a few miles from the A1(M) at Baldersby Park near Topcliffe, in North Yorkshire over the first weekend of the school summer holidays.

Plans for next year so far include more live acts on the Friday night, additional arts including commissioned theatre productions taking place in the woods, more camping space, different campsites for folks who want to stay up to the wee hours, extra after-hours entertainment and later bar opening hours for those fans of the wee hours, improved availability of the vast array of workshops, a longer "long goodbye" on Sunday and custom-made indestructible swingballs.
