UK dark rockers Paradise Lost, and Swedish Black Metallers Watain are the latest acts to be confirmed for next year's Bloodstock Open Air held over four days from Thursday 9th until Sunday 12th August at Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, in South Derbyshire.

Both acts are confirmed for the Ronnie James Dio main stage next year with Paradise Lost returning after seven years to appear on Saturday and Watain on Sunday, making their only UK festival appearance.

Paradise Lost played the first ever Bloodstock outdoor event in 2005, guitarist Greg Mackintosh said, "We had the pleasure of playing the first ever Bloodstock Open Air way back in 2005, when it was quite an intimate affair. It's an honour to be asked back to BOA 2012, which looks to be shaping up to be a blinding festival. Since we last played, we have seen BOA grow into the Great British metal festival it is today. We look forward to seeing you all down the front."

Watain will make their Bloodstock debut with what organisers promise as a very special slot. Of next year's appearance, the band stated, "The United Kingdom has spawned many a thing inspirational to Watain, be it druidic sorcery, Venom or Judas Priest. Our performances there have always been spiced with a nameless sensation of raw power, and this is the main reason why we have chosen Bloodstock to be one of the very few festival shows we will perform next year. As always, expect something very far from the ordinary."

They join a line-up that includes the previously confirmed Anvil, and Orange Goblin.

Early bird tickets are on sale until 15th December, priced at £95 for adults, and car parking, child (aged 4 - 11 years), day tickets, and campervan passes are expected to be on sale at a later date. To buy tickets, click here.
