Eddy Temple-Morris has a rant

This weekend's Bestival will be going ahead without the band Losers, after they pulled out.

Losers
Eddy Temple-Morris of Losers
In a long-winded rant on website The Huffinton Post (here), Eddy Temple-Morris of Losers takes the easy insulting option of calling it "Worstival", and claims it's so packed he found it hard to have the room to light himself a cigarette. From eFestivals' experiences of Bestival, we're guessing that that cigarette was over three feet long.

Temple-Morris' anger is most rooted in what he calls the "idiots" who organise the event, who seem to go to extraordinary lengths each year to mess up his performance either with his band or solo. He claims that his slots get changed at the last minute and so plays to an audience that perhaps can be counted on one hand.

For this year, he says to try and avoid the same happening again he's gone the fully contracted route - only to discover that "Our slot had been given to Jaymo and Andy George, Radio 1 buddies of Rob".

He finishes off with the following...
I'm truly sorry Losers didn't make it in the end, I had so many nice emails and messages from people looking forward to seeing us play, and I'm so sorry that Bestival is like the kiss of death for me every year. I promise this will never happen again, the only way I can guarantee this is by vowing, here and now, that I'll never believe anything the organisers of Bestival say, or write, or promise and I will never play Bestival, either as a DJ or in a band, again.

There. Problem solved. I'll never tear my hair out in the first week of September again.

Bestival.
Started by a lovely guy.
Ruined by greedy shareholders.
Organised by idiots.
Someone is losing out in the future ... we'll leave you to decide which one.

Bestival takes place this weekend at Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight. The event is sold out.

eFestivals will have reviews and photos for you next week. But not of Losers, obviously.
