International charity War Child have announced their charity partnership with the new Wilderness festival, set to be held this weekend at Cornbury Park in Oxfordshire from Friday 12th until Sunday 14th August.

Good friends of War Child the previously confirmed Guillemots will be onsite holding a secret pop-up busking performance throughout the weekend, helping to raise funds for the charity.

War Child is an international charity, founded in 1993 in response to the conflict in the former Yugoslavia. A UN award winning charity, War Child works in the world’s most dangerous war zones including Iraq, Afghanistan, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. War Child aims to protect children who are hit hardest by war and its consequences including street children, child soldiers and children in prison.

Curated by the organisers of Secret Garden Party and Lovebox, highlights will include performances, fireside banquets and theatrical spectaculars, and a line-up that includes Antony And The Johnsons, Mercury Rev, Gogol Bordello, Laura Marling, Toots And The Maytals, Daniel Johnston, The Low Anthem, Dry The River, Guillemots, The Urban Voodoo Machine, CW Stoneking, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Hayseed Dixie, chefs Skye Gyngell and Sam and Sam Clark from Moro, The Old Vic Tunnels, Tax Deductible Theatre Company, Factory Theatre, Bristol Natural History Consortium, Headspace and Boutique Babysitting. The Secret Garden Party will be presiding over a late-night concept party on the Friday night, titled 'Where The Wild Things Are', they promise to transform an ancient forest clearing into a theatrical landscape of make-believe with the help of resident performers Tax Deductible, The Artful Badger and The Feast of Fools.

The Last Tuesday Society host their first ever headline show at a UK festival with a Midnight Masked Ball on Saturday night with multi-tented extravaganza of weird and wonderful entertainments including ballroom dancing, late night story-telling, puppet theatre, processional bands, séances and life drawing classes.

The family-friendly Wilderness is being held from Friday 12th until Sunday 14th August at Cornbury Park in Oxfordshire and intends to bring together "music, food, learning, literature and rejuvenation".
