London metallers The Defiled, and Ohio's Skeletonwitch have been confirmed for the Ronnie James Dio Stage at Bloodstock Open Air and lead the latest acts to be announced.

The Defiled
Keyboard player The Avd from The Defiled said, "Well, the good news just keeps pouring in for us right now. We just found out that we are playing the main stage at Bloodstock! We have a real soft spot for this festival as it was the first festival The Defiled ever played, and it was the most amazing experience we had ever had as a band at the time. The Bloodstock crowd treated us really, really well and I can still recall the buzz we all felt after that... It was just one of those moments you know you are going to take to the grave... So we are coming back to where it all began for us! Can't wait!"

Whilst added to the Sophie Lancaster stage line-up are murder-pop rockers Romeo Must Die, Swedish/Danish melodic metallers Amaranthe, Scottish Death metalheads Cerebral Bore, and Norway's Hellish Outcast.

They join a line-up that sees W.A.S.P., Immortal, and Motorhead headlining the weekend of Friday 12th until Sunday 14th August 2011 at Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, in South Derbyshire. With Rhapsody Of Fire, Devin Townsend Project, Kreator, Napalm Death, Nevermore, Morbid Angel, Exodus, Coroner, Therion, Triptykon, Angelwitch, Lawnmower Deth, October File, The Rotted, At The Gates, and many more announced.
