Confirmed for the Main Stage on Sunday at the FREE event are Ash, Frankie And The Heartstrings, Dry The River, The Crookes, and The Everley Pregnant Brothers.

Joining them across the festival will be Los Campesinos!, Dananananaykroyd, and David Rodigan.

Curating the Octagon on Saturday 23 July, Toddla T will showcase some great dance acts up at Sheffield University.

Rolo Tomassi is back curating the rock line up on the 'New Music Stage' on Sunday 24 July while Drowned in Sound return to present Saturday's offerings on the same stage.

Hallam FM will curate the 'Main Stage' on Devonshire Green on Saturday 23 July for the third year running. After listening to music fans, this year Hallam FM will be focussing on longer, more acoustic live sets with a mix of established and up and coming artists.

Building on Tramlines' community projects, 'Under the Stars', who run club nights for local adults with learning disabilities, will be joining the festival line up this year. The HUBS at Sheffield Hallam University will be home to the 'Under the Stars' team on Saturday 23 July.

Sarah Nulty, Assistant Festival Director said, "It's year three for the Tramlines festival. Once again the whole festival is completely free and we are expecting even more people this year. We've got some great acts to announce in the coming weeks and even more going on.

"Keeping the festival free whilst it continues to grow is always going to be a challenge for us. This year Tramlines Ale has been on sale in bars across Sheffield and the profits have funded Tramlines 2011’s Blues and Ale Trail. We do everything we can to make sure we bring music to the city at no cost to the punter."

In total more than 70 city centre venues for this the second year of the event. Regular line up announcements will be made over the coming weeks. With fairgrounds, a kids area, markets and an eclectic mix of music Tramlines offers something for all ages across one great weekend.

After huge success last year the dance area will be growing in 2011, more details to follow. For more information, see the Tramlines website.
