Rising stars Rachel Sermanni, and Dot Jr are set to headline the Solus Tent at the tenth anniversary of The Wickerman Festival 2011.

The emerging talent stage of the festival, Solus celebrates the finest new acts on the Scottish music network - Rachel Sermanni will headline on Friday, and Stornoway musician and Dot Jr will headline Saturday.

Rachel Sermanni said: "I'm delighted to have been asked back to Wickerman after having so much fun last year in the Acoustic Village. It's a real honour to have been asked to headline Solus which has built such a fabulous reputation for showcasing new acts over the years. July can't come quick enough for me!"

A whole host of other bands and solo stars will also grace the stage including Jack Townes, Dam Mantle, Bear Bones, Blochestra, Endor, DeSalvo, Davey Horne, Black Sun Drum Corps, Randolphs Leap, RM Hubbert, Citizens, Vukovi, Miaoux Miaoux, Reverie, Letters, and Trapped In Kansas.

Festival coordinator, Helen Chalmers, said, "There is some amazing up-and-coming new talent in Scotland, and the calibre for this year's festival is phenomenal. For our tenth anniversary celebrations we are going all out to put on the best festival we can, and Solus this year will really make its mark."

The tenth Wickerman Festival takes place at East Kirkcarswell Farm in Dumfries & Galloway and takes place from Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd July, 2011 and will feature ten stages, including the Summerisle Stage, Scooter Tent, The Acoustic Village, Axis Sound System Reggae Tent, Bass Camp, Greenman Inn, Headphone Arena, Ho Down Wendy House, Solus and for the first time the goNORTH Festival Tour Stage.

Tickets are priced at £90 including camping and car parking. Concessions (13-15 years old) will be priced £45 for a limited time and will only be available online. Children under 13 go free.Caravan/campervan tickets are an additional £30 with a further £50 to this ticket price for an electrical hook up.

Everyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and bring proof of age - anyone without proof of ID will be liable to pay the full adult ticket price at the gate. We also recommend anyone who looks under 21 to bring ID with them. The ages shown on the tickets refer to the age of the child/concession on the day of the festival (not the age at time of purchase).
