Bloodstock Open Air has announced five up and coming acts, a testament to the importance the Bloodstock team place on promoting new talent aside the well-established names on the bill.

Rising Welsh stars Revoker will make their Bloodstock Open Air debut this summer. "Its an honour to be playing Bloodstock this year," comments guitarist Chris Green. "It's great to see such a good festival becoming bigger and better. Hopefully we can grow as a band alongside this festival and have a long prosperous relationship!"

Joining them on the bill are Bloodstock's 'Metal 2 The Masses' winners Achren who will be opening this year's festival on the Thursday evening. Says frontman Scott Anderson, "The Metal 2 The Masses initiative has given us a great chance to take the band to a different level. The whole team at Bloodstock work so hard to make it the best Metal festival in the UK and we can't thank everybody enough for providing us with this great opportunity."

This year alone the Metal 2 The Masses Roadshow has seen a staggering 500+ unsigned bands enter to be in with a chance to perform on the 'New Blood Stage'.

The latest acts to be confirmed are completed by Hammer Of The Gods, Blake, and Imicus.

They join a line-up that sees W.A.S.P., Immortal, and Motorhead headlining the weekend of Friday 12th until Sunday 14th August 2011 at Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, in South Derbyshire. With Rhapsody Of Fire, Devin Townsend Project, Kreator, Napalm Death, Nevermore, Morbid Angel, Exodus, Coroner, Therion, Triptykon, Angelwitch, Lawnmower Deth, October File, The Rotted, At The Gates, and many more announced. As well as the international heavy metal bands across three stages, Bloodstock offers a large selection of merchandise stalls, metal karaoke, a campsite and a wide selection of food and bars.

Tickets are on sale priced at £105 for adults, and £11 for a car parking pass. Day tickets, and child tickets are expected to be on sale at a later date.
