WOMAD at Bristol Zoo announced

celebrating the 175th birthday of the zoo

WOMAD have announced they are joining forces with Bristol Zoo to present a two stage one day event at bristol zoo on Saturday 11th June to celebrate the menagerie's 175th birthday.

WOMAD at Bristol Zoo will be an evening of music from across the world from 6-11pm, aptly surrounded by wildlife from across the world at Bristol Zoo Gardens, Clifton, in Bristol. There are no acts confirmed yet for 2011.

Tickets are on sale now. An adult (aged 15+) ticket is priced at £20, a children (aged 3-14) ticket is priced at £5, with a family (2 adults & 2 children) ticket priced at £45. Children aged under 3 have free entry. To buy tickets, click here.

Workshops for the children will turn your little monkeys into little gorillas once they're finished. Much of Bristol Zoo will be open for you to visit the animals who want to stay up late. Bristol Zoo's Coral Café will be serving food. The Bath Ales bar will be there, as will the Bristol Zoo global bazaar.
