WOMAD have announced they are joining forces with Bristol Zoo to present a two stage one day event at bristol zoo on Saturday 11th June to celebrate the menagerie's 175th birthday.
Tickets are on sale now. An adult (aged 15+) ticket is priced at £20, a children (aged 3-14) ticket is priced at £5, with a family (2 adults & 2 children) ticket priced at £45. Children aged under 3 have free entry. To buy tickets, click here.
Workshops for the children will turn your little monkeys into little gorillas once they're finished. Much of Bristol Zoo will be open for you to visit the animals who want to stay up late. Bristol Zoo's Coral Café will be serving food. The Bath Ales bar will be there, as will the Bristol Zoo global bazaar.
WOMAD festivals are held all over the world, in countries including; Australia, New Zealand, Sicily and Spain. They allow audiences to gain an insight into cultures other than their own through the enjoyment of music.
