What started as a small party for 300 people eight years ago has blossomed into one of Wales' leading contemporary arts and music event, with an international reputation attracting discerning music lovers from across the globe. Now in its ninth year, acts as diverse as Robert Plant, Flaming Lips,Super Furry Animals, Pentangle, Jarvis Cocker, Vashti Bunyan, Spritiualized, Joanna Newsom, Fout Tet, Wilco have all headlined in recent years, and music is at the heart of everything Green Man does.

But with an ever-expanding line-up of comedy, film, literature, science and the UK's only 24-hour festival drinks licence – not to mention the ritualistic burning of the giant Green Man.

Non-corporate, family friendly, independent and ethically minded, Green Man is proud to champion a wealth of worthy causes - notably mental health charity Mind.
