Blondie, Chase & Status, The Cribs and The Whip are amongst the latest acts to be announced for July's Kendal Calling festival held in the Lake District.

The latest acts to be announced are Chase & Status as Friday headliners The Cribs will headline Saturday, and on Sunday it's the turn of Blondie.

Also on board are The Whip, Young Knives, Middleman, and Nero in the Dance Tent.

They join the first acts to be confirmed who were Levellers performing a 20th anniversary show of 'Levelling The Land', Echo and the Bunnymen, Mr Scruff, Beardyman, and a Northern festival exclusive of Tim Burgess & Mark Collins' The Charlatans (acoustic).

This first Headliner announcements are just a taster of what is still to come. The full Calling Out (new music) stage, Kaylied Tent (folk stage), Glow Dance tent and five other stages line-ups are still to be announced.

Kendal Calling is held in the Lake District, over the weekend of Friday 29th to Sunday 31st July and is a wholly independent festival returning for its fifth year and returning to the Lowther Estate, Kendal, in East Cumbria.

Tickets buyers are offered a deposit scheme option where £35 is paid to secure the ticket and then the rest is paid off six weeks before the festival. Adult weekend tickets will be priced at £95, a child (11-14 years) weekend ticket is priced at £50, and children under 11 can attend for free, but need a ticket.
