Linkin Park to headline Rock Werchter

Linkin Park have been confirmed as the latest headliners to be announced for Belgium's Rock Werchter.

Linkin Park return to Belgium for the first time in over a decade when they headline the opening night on Thursday at Rock Werchter. The last concert the Californian band gave in Belgium was on 20 March 2001 at Brielpoort in Deinze. This will be their only show in the Benelux.

They join the previously announced Kings of Leon, The Chemical Brothers, Coldplay, and Iron Maiden. The latest acts to be announced are Underworld, Magnetic Man, Hurts, Fleet Foxes, Bright Eyes, Triggerfinger, Noisettes, Mona and Lissie, joining Grinderman, Kasabian, Beady Eye, Eels, Aloe Blacc, Warpaint, and Goose joining Kaiser Chiefs, The National, White Lies, Social Distortion All Time Low, Arctic Monkeys, Portishead, P J Harvey, Elbow, The Gaslight Anthem, Robyn, and Two Door Cinema Club. Belgium's biggest rock festival takes place in the small village of Werchter in Rotselaar, Belgium, from Thursday 30th June to Sunday 3rd July 2010.

This year Rock Werchter will open three campsites for Festival goers on the Wednesday, to cut down on congestion in Werchter and minimize inconvenience for the locals. The festival organisers will not be putting on entertainment on Wednesday evening, but the campsites will have food and drinks available.
