The first acts confirmed are Levellers performing a 20th anniversary show of 'Levelling The Land', Echo and the Bunnymen, Mr Scruff, Beardyman, and a Northern festival exclusive of Tim Burgess & Mark Collins' The Charlatans (acoustic).

These first announcements are just the tip of the iceberg for what’s in store; with all the Main Stage headliners and the full Calling Out (new music) stage, Kaylied Tent (folk stage), Glow dance tent and five other stages line-ups still to come.

Kendal Calling isn't just about the music; there are oodles of other activities and events going on throughout the weekend. The Real Ale festival from last year returns. There is also Fancy Dress Saturday with this year’'s theme to be announced very soon. Plus, fields full of activities and attractions for everyone from families to stag parties.

Andy Smith, Co-Director and Co-Founder of Kendal Calling says, "We've long wanted to bring Echo & the Bunnymen and The Levellers to Kendal Calling so this announcement is a realisation of a dream for us. I can't wait to see the looks on faces in the coming weeks when we announce our headliners though - this truly is going to be the most special year yet!"

Kendal Calling is held in the Lake District, over the weekend of Friday 29th to Sunday 31st July and is a wholly independent festival returning for its fifth year and returning to the Lowther Estate, Kendal, in East Cumbria.

Tickets buyers are offered a deposit scheme option where £35 is paid to secure the ticket and then the rest is paid off six weeks before the festival. Adult weekend tickets will be priced at £95, a child (11-14 years) weekend ticket is priced at £50, and children under 11 can attend for free, but need a ticket.
