The hotly tipped acts Caitlin Rose, Clare Maguire, Gaggle, and Virginmarys lead the first acts announced for the line-up at London's Next Big Thing Festival.

The festival offers a platform for a new generation to showcase and celebrates breakthrough artists drawn from across the music spectrum in the UK and internationally with a line-up that includes Baltic Fleet, BabyDrum, Banjo Or Freakout, Bongolian, Burns, Caitlin Rose, Caro Emerald, Cassette Jam, Clare Maguire, Daughter, Diagram of the Heart, Dutch Uncles, Fenech Soler, The Fury, Futures, Gaggle, Gabrielle Aplin, The Japanese Popstars, Jodie Connor, Josh Weller, Lauren Pritchard, Little Dragon, Marcus Foster, Matt Corby, Matthew and the Atlas, Mighty Mouse, The Milk, Mike Marlin, Mike Pickering, Natalie McCool, Nathaniel Rateliff, Pete Lawrie, The Phoenix Foundation, Rachel Sermanni, Retro/Grade, Rival Sons, Rose Elinor Dougall, Saint Saviour, Sarah Blasko, S.C.U.M., Silvery, Spark, Stateless, Treetop Flyers, Trophy Wife, Virginmarys, Wretch 32, YasmIn, and YoaV.

The second annual Next Big Thing will run between Friday 4th and Sunday 13th February 2010. It will be hosted by HMV/MAMA owned venues in London, including the Borderline, Heaven and the Relentless Garage, and will feature up to 50 artists representing different genres, from singer-songwriters and indie-rock bands to urban and pop through to crossover classical talent.

Each venue will host three acts per night and all gigs will be priced at £10, whichever the venue and whoever the artist bill. Tickets will go on sale at 9am tomorrow, and eFestivals will have links to buy them then.
