Portishead are the latest act to be confirmed for Spain's The International Benicàssim Festival, FIB Heineken.

The band from Bristol led by Geoff Barrow and Beth Gibbons and the invaluable contribution of guitarist Adrian Utley, came together at the beginning of the 90's publishing their first album 'Dummy' (1994). The album was a huge and unexpected sales success and got huge recognition from critics and pubic. In 1997 they published 'Portishead' and in 2008 'Third', their last album up to date.

Portishead join The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, and Primal Scream as the first acts to be confirmed for line-up for The International Benicàssim Festival. As well as this diverse array of musical performers, the festival has an extensive bill of non-musical entertainment, including dance, art, theatre, fashion, silent disco and short films.

Established in 1994, next year will be its 17th year, the International Benicàssim Festival, FIB Heineken, near Valencia, Spain is back for 2011 from Thursday 14th until Sunday 17th July. With camping thrown in with the ticket price, all night music over 4 days, and sited just walking distance from the beach and a huge water park.
