Coldplay are the latest announcement for next summer's Rock am Ring in Germany.

This is Coldplay's first announced live date for 2011. It's still to be confirmed which day they'll appear.

Coldplay join the acts already announced - Kings of Leon, who will also headline, plus Beatsteaks, In Flames, Mando Diao, and Volbeat.

Tickets go on sale on the 29th November priced at 150 euro (approx £128).

Rock am Ring takes place over 3 days from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th June 2011, and showcases acts from the international live music scene at the Nurburgring in the Eifel mountains.
