late line-up changes announced for this weekend

Cameroonian one man band Muntu Valdo, and Eliza Carthy are amongst the latest line-up changes for Musicport which starts tomorrow.

Organisers of the 11th Musicport which takes place from this Friday, 22nd until Sunday 24th October, at Bridlington Spa Theatre and Royal Hall, on Bridlington's sea front have announced some last minute line-up additions and changes. Amine & Hamza have had to cancel due to visa issues and have been replaced by Muntu Valdo, and Jesse Bannister & Bhupinder Singh Chaggar from the band Samay. It has also been confirmed that Norma Waterson will be accompanied on stage by Eliza Carthy, and ex The Clash and PiL guitarist Keith Levene will join Jah Wobble on stage on Sunday. The guest musician of Alejandro Toledo and The Magic Tombolinos will be Daniel Ivancea (who plays in the Roma band) who joins them on Saturday night. Finally both The Flamborough Sword Dancers and Goathland Plough Stots will perform on sunday night.

The line-up this year includes The Imagined Village, Richard Hawley, The Imagined Village, Jah Wobble's Japanese Dub, Alejandro Toledo & his Magic Tombolinos, Martin Stephenson, Erik Mongrain, Marta Sebestyen, Malinky, John Cooper Clarke plus many many more.

Musicport offers music, culture, food and crafts from all over the world throughout 3 days, over 4 stages. The festival also has workshops for adults including singing, dance, drumming, and didgeridoo. A programme of film, plenty of good cause and info stalls, trade stalls, and a Children's Festival.

An adult weekend ticket is priced at £89.50, and £82.50 for concessions. A junior ticket (aged 11-17 years) is priced at £45, and children go free when an adult ticket is purchased. Tickets can be purchased on the festival's ticket hotline (0845 373 2760).
