Due to unforeseen circumstances (the cancellation of a Polish Festival & the opportunity of a performance in the US for ex President Clinton in aid of her Batonga Foundation) Angelique Kidjo has had to cancel her tour and her appearance at Musicport at short notice.

Organisers have managed to secured a replacement act to headline Saturday night with Grammy award winning Dobet Gnahore agreeing to replace Kidjo. One of the best up and coming African female stars, Dobet Gnahore, is a singer, songwriter, dancer and percussionist from the Ivory Coast.

The 11th Musicport takes place from Friday 22nd until Sunday 24th October, at Bridlington Spa Theatre and Royal Hall, on Bridlington's sea front, which boasts an Edwardian theatre and art deco style 1930's ballroom.

The line-up includes The Imagined Village, Richard Hawley, The Imagined Village, Jah Wobble's Japanese Dub, Alejandro Toledo & his Magic Tombolinos, Martin Stephenson, Erik Mongrain, Marta Sebestyen, Malinky, John Cooper Clarke plus many many more.

Musicport offers music, culture, food and crafts from all over the world throughout 3 days, over 4 stages. The festival also has workshops for adults including singing, dance, drumming, and didgeridoo. A programme of film, plenty of good cause and info stalls, trade stalls, and a Children's Festival.

An adult weekend ticket is priced at £89.50, and £82.50 for concessions. A junior ticket (aged 11-17 years) is priced at £45, and children go free when an adult ticket is purchased. To buy tickets, click here.
